NZ Climbers at the ITCC Masters Challenge

Providence, Rhode Island, USA

New Zealand’s two representatives at the ISA’s International Tree Climbing Championship, Scott Forrest and Chrissy Spence, made it into the Master’s Challenge – the Championship ‘Finals’.

Unfortunately, both our climbers were unable to win through in the final climb-off – Chrissy was narrowly pipped into second place, while Scott grabbed third place.

In the Preliminary events, Chrissy was first in the Work Climb, second in the Aerial Rescue and third in the Belayed Speed Climb. Scott placed second in the Throwline.

Well done to both climbers for waving the flag for NZ. Great work.

The NZAA would like to thank everyone who helped our Kiwi climbers and, especially, Treescape and Asplundh for their kind support in assisting the climbers in getting them to the event.
